Atossa is a full-time artist working out of her studio in West Lafayette, Indiana. She was born and raised in Iran and has spent most of her adult life in the Midwest of the United States, mainly in Michigan where she received her graduate degrees from Michigan State University, and in Indiana where she worked as a research scientist.
Atossa was influenced by her father, a painter, a calligrapher, and a musician, from whom she received her earliest art training and inspiration. She later pursued her art education through various workshops, independent studies, and artist residencies, working with accomplished artists from the United States.
