Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shaker

Born in Mansoura (Arab Republic of Egypt) April 29, 1947 .

 

Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria (B.A. - M.A. - Ph.D. ) .

Participated in group exhibitions since 1970 until now.

He has held (55) private exhibitions locally and (56) representing Egypt at the international level.

Member of the International Association of Contemporary Mosaic Artists.

Member of the Fine Arts Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture ( previously).

Member of the Permanent Scientific Committee for Promotions at the Supreme Council of

 

Universities (Previously).

 

Member of the Higher Advisory Committee for Education Development ( Previously ) .

 

He has done many artistic works related to architecture and city beautification at local and

international levels (He was awarded the Arab World Urban Beautification Expert Award 2003).

He has many public and private collections in Egypt and most countries of the world.

The former dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Alexandria University, he is currently a professor in

the Department of Photography at the Faculty.

He has supervised and participated in the discussion and judgment committees of ( 305( scientific

 

theses for the degrees of doctorate and master in the faculties of fine arts, art education, applied arts,

engineering, arts and qualitative education so far.

 

The artist dedicated his private studio to the state: It is located in the property No. 309 Corniche Road

in the Saba Pasha area in Alexandria to become the Museum of the Artist Mohamed Shaker, and it

contains (86) works of art in oil painting, (49) works of art in Multi Materials, (175) photographs of the

artist's Beautification works and Artistic Works in Architecture, and (62) certificates of honor (awards

of thanks and appreciation), and (114) medals, shields, shields and accolades, all original. In addition

to some original designs made by the artist,( 62) certificates of honor (awards),( 114 ) medals, shields,

and awards, all of which are original, and his private library, which includes ( 2359) scientific theses,

foreign and Arabic books, and various periodicals, The ownership of all of the above was transferred

to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, becoming the owner and responsible for managing this museum as a

national asset to Alexandria, Egypt, and humanity as a whole.
