-Bachelor of Mass Communication and M.A. in English Literature from Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Philippines.
-She serves the Filipino art community through her Affiliations in Kasibulan (Women Association); National Commission for Culture and the Arts-National Committee on Art Galleries; Dumaguete Open Biennale Terra Cotta Art Festival- Board of Directors; Mariyah Gallery/Mariyah Gallery Art Project, Inc. - Board of Directors. Her artwork was highlighted in numerous news and cultural publications and is contained in various collections throughout the Philippines and abroad. Kitty's two large works are collections of the Beijing International Art Biennale, China. One of her sculpture installations can be found in Ordos Sculpture Park, Inner Mongolia, China.
-She earned Honorable Mention and finalist in the Philip Morris Philippine Art Awards 1994, 2000, and 2003. She was invited lecturer of the University Of Pennsylvania Museum Of Anthropology and Archeology, Philadelphia and the Rowan University in New Jersey in 2005 as part of International Cultural Exchange Program. She is one of the world artists selected to participate in the 2nd, the 3rd and the 4th Beijing International Art Biennale, China in 2005, 2008 and 2010 respectively, the 11th Asian Arts Festival 2009, China and the 12th China Changchun International Sculpture Symposium, 2011. Kitty has been consistently instrumental for the staging of the first and the second Dumaguete Terra Cotta Biennial in 2005 and in 2007 being the project director. She was also artistic director for the Nationwide Closing Ceremonies of the Heritage Month celebration held in Negros Oriental in May 2008 by the Filipino Heritage Festival, Inc.
