Attended San Francisco Art Institute and later Seattle University .  After moving to Paris  in 1980, she worked with Stanley Willam Hayter at the famous printmaking studio Atelier 17. In 2013 , She moved her taille douce Atelier to Hammamet in Tunisia.  Since 2013 she has held exhibits regularly with the Union des Artists as with the Federation in Tunisia. 

Jo Ann has been invited as Artists in residence at the Centre Cultural International in Hammamet,  Maroc and participated in solo and group exhibits in

several countries as South Korea, Japan, Romania, North Macedonia, Egypt, Albania, Moldova, Turkey and with The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London.

Egypt remains a special place in her heart.
